Live Online Professional Digital Fluency & Workplace Tools Training Course

Live online, instructor-led · next cohort Nov 2, 2026 · from USD 800

Hybrid work has made digital tools the main place where colleagues meet, share files and make decisions. People who use them well save hours each week, while those who struggle lose documents, miss messages and expose sensitive information by accident. This five-day programme builds practical fluency for everyday office roles. You will organise files in OneDrive, SharePoint and Google Drive, co-author documents, manage email and calendars, run effective video meetings in Teams or Zoom, use Excel and Sheets for simple analysis, work with Planner or Trello for tasks, recognise phishing, protect passwords with multi-factor authentication and use AI assistants responsibly.

About this course

Digital skills at work are no longer limited to typing and sending email. Staff are expected to collaborate in shared documents, join online meetings, find information across cloud folders, handle simple data and judge which online content or message can be trusted. Many employees picked up these habits informally, which leaves gaps: duplicated files, endless email chains, insecure sharing and unused features that would save time.

This course closes those gaps in a structured way. It begins with the foundations of digital working, including device and file management, cloud storage and naming conventions. It then covers communication tools, from professional email etiquette and calendar management to chat, video conferencing and shared channels. Later sessions introduce spreadsheets, documents and presentations for everyday tasks, task and project boards, and workflow shortcuts. A dedicated block deals with cyber hygiene, privacy and online reputation, and the final sessions explore how generative AI assistants can support drafting and research, with careful attention to accuracy and confidentiality.

Training is hands-on. Participants complete short office scenarios and finish with a personal productivity plan describing the tools and routines they will adopt.

Training Objectives

On completion, participants will be able to:

  • Organise files and folders in cloud storage using clear naming and access settings.
  • Manage email, calendars and contacts efficiently using rules, folders and scheduling tools.
  • Plan and run productive online meetings with sound, screen sharing and recorded outcomes.
  • Co-author documents, spreadsheets and presentations with comments and version history.
  • Use basic formulas, sorting, filtering and charts to summarise simple data.
  • Track tasks and deadlines with shared boards or planners.
  • Recognise phishing and apply password, authentication and data-sharing safeguards.
  • Use AI assistants responsibly to draft, summarise and check work.
