Dairy provides cash income for millions of smallholder farmers, yet unsustainable practices threaten herd health and profitability. This course teaches dairy farmers improved, sustainable practices that increase income and ensure long-term viability.

This course teaches dairy farmers practical improvements in animal health, feed management, and milk quality that increase income while maintaining herd sustainability and food safety.
Participants learn hands-on practices proven to increase milk production, reduce disease losses, and meet quality standards that buyers demand.

Delegates will develop practical skill in designing appropriate frameworks, selecting and applying the right tools for developing sustainable dairy enterprises, interpreting findings, and communicating conclusions clearly to colleagues, management and external stakeholders. Sessions move deliberately from principles to application, so that each technique introduced is practised against a realistic problem before the programme moves on — strengthening both individual effectiveness and the wider capability of the organizations delegates return to.
