Quality Assurance Training in Kenya

Classroom cohorts in Mombasa, Naivasha, Nairobi, Kisumu, Machakos · live online · in-house anywhere in Kenya

Defects, rework and customer complaints cost far more to fix after delivery than to prevent at source. You begin with quality management standards such as ISO 9001, the difference between assurance and control, and the role of documented processes, specifications and acceptance criteria. Design sessions show how to build assurance processes, control plans and inspection points across procurement, production or service delivery. You then practise inspection and testing methods, sampling plans and statistical quality control tools including control charts, process capability and Pareto analysis.

Problem-solving work applies root cause analysis using the five whys, fishbone diagrams and 8D reporting to drive corrective and preventive action. The final day covers internal auditing of quality systems, supplier quality, nonconformance handling and building a culture where staff own quality. Exercises use sample data sets and audit scenarios drawn from manufacturing, supply chain and service settings. Quality officers, inspectors, production supervisors, procurement and supply chain staff and operations managers will use it daily. By the close you can design a QA process, interpret control charts and lead a corrective action investigation.

About this course

This 5-day course covers quality assurance principles, standards, and practices in operations. Participants learn quality system design, inspection and testing procedures, statistical quality control, and problem-solving methodologies that ensure quality consistency and compliance.

The programme includes quality documentation, audit procedures, corrective action implementation, and quality culture building that embed quality throughout organizational operations and supplier relationships.

Throughout the programme, participants work through realistic scenarios drawn from public procurement bodies, commercial supply chains, logistics operations, and donor-funded tendering environments, examining how quality assurance is applied in practice and where it most often breaks down. Delegates will develop practical skill in designing appropriate frameworks, selecting and applying the right tools for root cause analysis and corrective action, interpreting findings, and communicating conclusions clearly to colleagues, management and external stakeholders. Sessions move deliberately from principles to application, so that each technique introduced is practised against a realistic problem before the programme moves on — strengthening both individual effectiveness and the wider capability of the organizations delegates return to.

  • Develop robust quality assurance frameworks that support successful implementation and measurable outcomes.
