Weak control over fixed assets shows up in audit queries, unexplained maintenance spending, idle equipment and unplanned failures that interrupt services. In both public and private organisations, capital budgets are under pressure and decision makers want proof that existing assets are being used well before new ones are bought.
The Advanced Asset Management (Fixed Assets, ISO 55001) Training Course joins the accounting and engineering views of an asset. Participants begin with registers, tagging, capitalisation policies and reconciliation to the general ledger, then work through depreciation methods, componentisation, revaluation, impairment, disposal and the disclosures required in financial statements. The second half introduces the ISO 55000 family of standards, asset management policy and strategy, lifecycle cost analysis, criticality and risk assessment, condition monitoring and long-term renewal forecasting.
Learning is practical. Participants work with sample registers and cost data, rank assets for maintenance and replacement, and sketch the elements of an ISO 55001 aligned management system for their own organisation. They leave with a prioritised improvement plan that connects finance records, operational data and organisational objectives.
