Organisations in every sector are being asked to change faster, whether through digitisation, mergers, funding shifts, regulatory reform or new leadership. Yet the human side of change is frequently left to chance, and initiatives stall when staff quietly keep working as before.
This advanced programme is for practitioners who already know the basic models and now need to apply them in difficult, political or large-scale settings. Participants begin by diagnosing the organisation: its culture, structure, power dynamics and change history. They then compare change approaches and learn to choose among them according to scale, urgency and readiness. Core topics include sponsorship and coalition building, stakeholder engagement, communication design, handling resistance with empathy and evidence, and building change capability at middle-management level.
The course also covers organisational development practice, including team and leadership interventions, role and structure redesign, large-group facilitation and action research. Closing sessions address how to measure adoption, embed change in performance management and reward systems, and avoid fatigue when several initiatives collide. Teaching uses case studies, role plays and a live design project, so participants build a complete change and culture plan that they can take straight back to their own organisation.
