Industrial growth in manufacturing, mining, agro-processing, oil and gas and public laboratories has expanded the range of hazardous substances in everyday use. Where controls are weak, the consequences include burns, poisoning, fires, environmental release and prosecution, along with expensive downtime and damage to community trust. Regulators, insurers and major customers now expect documented proof that hazardous substances are identified, controlled and periodically reviewed.
This course equips participants to manage chemical risk from the laboratory bench to the process unit. It starts with hazard communication, exposure assessment and the hierarchy of controls, then examines how chemicals are stored, moved and disposed of safely. The process safety segment introduces structured study techniques, the idea of independent protection layers, and the discipline needed to keep modifications, maintenance work and start-ups under control.
Training is practical and scenario based. Participants inspect sample storage layouts, interpret data sheets, build a risk register, and take part in a facilitated HAZOP node review. They also draft an emergency response outline and a short improvement plan, leaving with documents that can be adapted to their own sites and laboratories.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
The course is directed at people who work with or oversee hazardous chemicals, such as:

Learning is built around inspection, analysis and decision tasks that mirror daily duties. The programme includes:
A CPD-accredited Certificate of Completion issued by Vision Reach Global Consultancy is awarded to each participant who attends the full programme and completes the practical analyses, including the storage inspection, the HAZOP node review and the emergency response outline.
The completed worksheets can be retained as evidence of applied competence for safety committee records or professional development portfolios.
