The Advanced Dashboards & BI (Power BI, Tableau) Training Course targets people who already build basic reports and want to raise their standard. Each session is a laboratory. Participants load realistic datasets covering sales, finance, human resources and programme monitoring, answer business questions, and compare alternative designs for usability. They also practise requirements gathering, so a dashboard begins with a decision rather than a dataset. By the close, each delegate has built and documented a polished report with tested measures, security rules and a refresh plan, ready to adapt to their own workplace data.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

• Prepare and transform data from multiple sources using Power Query and Tableau data preparation features.
• Design star-schema data models with correct relationships, grain and filter behaviour.
• Write DAX measures and Tableau calculations, including time intelligence and level of detail expressions.
• Apply visual design principles to create clear, accessible and interactive dashboards.
• Optimise report performance through model design, extracts, aggregations and incremental refresh.
• Configure row-level security, workspaces, permissions and scheduled refresh.
