As programmes grow in size and complexity, informal tracking stops working. Several partners, districts and donors report against overlapping frameworks, and a single weak dataset can undermine an entire results report. Funders increasingly ask not only what the numbers show but how they were gathered, verified and used. Organisations that cannot answer lose credibility and miss chances to adapt.
The Advanced Digital MEAL, Dashboards & Data Quality Training Course is designed for practitioners who already know the basics of monitoring and evaluation and now want to strengthen the system as a whole. It starts with MEAL system architecture, covering indicator reference sheets, data flows, roles and tool selection. It then goes deep on data quality: definitions, validation, routine audits, verification visits and automated error detection. Participants next learn visualisation principles and build dashboards that answer managers' real questions, before turning to accountability systems, learning cycles and adaptive management.
Instruction is delivered through guided labs on sample programme datasets. Participants practise scripting checks, preparing data for visualisation and designing review meetings that convert findings into decisions, finishing with a prototype dashboard and a costed plan for improving data quality in their own organisation.
