Digital skills are no longer a specialist talent. Whether someone works in a ministry, a bank, a school, a health facility or a field office, daily tasks now involve cloud files, shared documents, messaging, spreadsheets and online meetings. Gaps in these basics slow teams down, produce errors and expose organisations to avoidable cyber incidents, while confident users save time and collaborate far more easily.
The Applied Digital Fluency & Workplace Tools Training Course builds that confidence through practice on realistic office tasks instead of tool tours. Participants begin by setting up an organised digital workspace and learning how cloud storage, permissions and version history work. They then improve their handling of email and calendars, create well-structured documents, analyse small datasets in spreadsheets, prepare clear presentations and manage online meetings. A dedicated module addresses digital safety and privacy, and another introduces generative AI tools, including what they do well, where they fail and what information must never be pasted into them.
The programme is suitable for mixed ability groups, with extension tasks for those who progress quickly. Each participant completes a small workplace project, such as a shared tracker or a briefing pack, and leaves with a personal plan for continued skills development.
