Asset-intensive organisations hold a large share of their value in equipment and infrastructure, yet the data describing those assets is frequently incomplete, duplicated or held in separate finance and maintenance systems. When decisions about repair, replacement and disposal rest on poor data, budgets are misallocated and risks stay hidden until something breaks. Standards such as ISO 55001 ask organisations to show that their asset decisions are based on reliable information and measured performance.
Data and Analytics for Asset Management begins with the quality of the asset register and the link between technical and financial records. It then develops analytical methods for cost, condition, reliability, utilisation and risk, and shows how to turn them into visuals that managers and boards can act on. The closing sessions connect the analysis to asset management objectives, performance evaluation and continual improvement in the management system.
Participants work throughout on sample registers, work order histories and cost ledgers. They clean the data, calculate indicators, build a dashboard and agree a data improvement plan for their own organisation.
