Information security is increasingly a data problem. Networks, cloud services, endpoints and applications generate millions of events daily, and standards such as ISO 27001 expect organisations to monitor, measure, analyse and evaluate their security performance. Teams that cannot analyse their own data struggle to find intrusions early, prioritise vulnerabilities or show auditors and boards where risk is rising or falling.
The Data and Analytics for Cybersecurity & Information Security (ISO 27001) Training Course combines security practice with analytical technique. Participants learn how security data is collected, cleaned and joined, then use SQL, Python and visual tools to investigate incidents, hunt for anomalies and track trends. They then connect this work to the management system: converting risk registers into measurable exposure, defining control effectiveness indicators and building dashboards that support internal audit, management review and continual improvement.
Ten days allow depth. Every topic is paired with a lab on realistic sample data, and the final days are given to an integrated project in which participants investigate a simulated incident and prepare an evidence-based report. Prior familiarity with basic networking and security concepts is helpful.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
