Organisations are investing heavily in cloud platforms, dashboards, automation and artificial intelligence, but those investments depend on data that is accurate, well described and used lawfully. Where governance is a paper policy owned by nobody, projects spend most of their time reconciling figures, and regulators and auditors find inconsistencies that damage confidence in management information.
Digital Transformation in Data Governance, Quality & Stewardship treats governance as an operating capability rather than a committee. Participants learn how to establish ownership by data domain, assign stewardship duties that are realistic alongside normal jobs, and implement the tools that make governance visible, including glossaries, catalogues, lineage maps and quality dashboards. They build quality rules for completeness, validity, uniqueness and timeliness, automate checks in the data pipeline and design workflows for fixing issues at their source.
The course also examines privacy, security classification, master and reference data, and the new questions raised by self-service analytics and machine learning. Teaching is laboratory based: delegates profile a messy dataset, draft policies, configure a catalogue and present a governance roadmap with measurable outcomes suited to their own organisation.
