Falling margins, volatile prices and pressure to lower emissions have pushed operators and service companies to look for gains in how assets are run rather than only in what is discovered. Digital tools now touch every stage of the value chain, yet many programmes remain a collection of disconnected pilots with no clear owner, no data foundation and no measured return.
The Digital Transformation in the Oil and Gas Industry Training Course starts with the current technology landscape and the value levers it can unlock: production uplift, reliability, safety, logistics efficiency and carbon reduction. It then moves through data architecture, sensors and connectivity, digital twins, advanced analytics and artificial intelligence, remote operations and integrated planning. Later sessions deal with the issues that decide success: cybersecurity for control systems, data quality and governance, platform and vendor choices, and the skills and culture changes needed on rigs, plants and in head office.
Teaching is case-driven. Participants work through examples of digital projects, score candidate use cases and build a simple business case, then finish by drafting a phased roadmap for their own organisation that they can present to management.
