Demand for eggs, chicken, fish and meat is rising with urban populations and incomes, and governments across the continent want to reduce expensive imports. The opportunity is real, but animal enterprises are unforgiving. A single disease event, a poor feed contract or an over-built facility can erase a year of profit, and executives who approve plans without understanding production drivers carry risk they cannot see.
The Executive Aquaculture, Poultry & Livestock Production Training Course gives leaders a joined-up view of three related sectors. It begins with industry structure and the economics of each system, then moves through breeding and feed, animal health and biosecurity, water and waste management, and the performance indicators that distinguish well-run units from struggling ones. Later sessions cover market access, processing, branding, financing options, governance and sustainability, so that production decisions are linked to commercial strategy.
The programme is built for people who decide rather than operate. Faculty use farm-level data sets, investment appraisals and short site-style scenarios, and participants challenge each other's assumptions in discussion. By the end, each participant has prepared a priorities paper for their own organisation, setting out where to invest, what to fix first and which risks need board attention.
