Executives are accountable for the health of the people who deliver their strategy, yet climate change and mental ill health are often handled as separate, secondary matters. Heatwaves reduce productivity and cause serious illness; flooding closes sites; prolonged stress drives absenteeism, errors and resignations. Regulators, insurers, lenders and employees increasingly expect leadership to treat these as core enterprise risks.
The programme connects the two risk streams. It opens with the strategic and legal case, then moves into climate-related workplace hazards such as thermal stress, extreme weather events, air quality and changing disease patterns. A second block turns to psychosocial hazards, including excessive workload, poor control over work, harassment, violence, remote and shift work and organisational change. Participants learn how to embed both into the management system, assign accountability, set risk appetite, allocate budgets and use data to see problems early. The closing sessions concentrate on crisis leadership, recovery support, assurance and external disclosure.
Delivery is discussion-led and written for time-pressed leaders. Scenario briefings, dashboards and a board paper exercise ensure that participants leave with decisions they can action rather than abstract principles.
