Donors and governments increasingly require near real-time evidence of results, while communities expect to be heard. Organisations have invested heavily in tablets, platforms and dashboards, yet leaders often report that decisions are still made on instinct because they do not trust the numbers or cannot see how to use them.
The Executive Digital MEAL, Dashboards & Data Quality Training Course is written for those who direct programmes rather than build them. It explains how a digital MEAL system is organised, from results framework and indicators to collection tools, storage, analysis and reporting, and what governance it needs. Participants learn to specify requirements, evaluate vendors and open-source options, manage data protection duties and fund maintenance sensibly. They also learn to scrutinise dashboards and to ask for evidence of data quality before relying on reported results.
The format is discussion-led and practical. Delegates review sample dashboards, assess a data quality report, rehearse a performance review meeting and agree standards for their own organisation. The week closes with a leadership action plan that sets expectations for data use, accountability to affected people and organisational learning.
