Corruption undermines service delivery, inflates the cost of public and private projects and erodes trust in institutions. Regulators, donors and business partners increasingly expect organisations to prove that they prevent bribery, not merely react once it occurs. Weak controls around gifts, supplier selection, recruitment and personal interests are among the most common routes into trouble, and staff often lack clear guidance on where the line sits.
The Fundamentals of Anti-Bribery, Ethics & Conflict of Interest Training Course starts with definitions and the legal and standards framework, then builds the practical components of an integrity programme: risk assessment, policies, due diligence on agents and suppliers, training, reporting channels and investigation. Considerable time goes to conflicts of interest, which are the quiet start of many serious cases, and to the ethical reasoning that guides decisions in grey areas.
Teaching relies on short scenarios, policy drafting and facilitated discussion in which participants test their instincts against recognised standards. Each person finishes with a personal integrity action plan and draft tools such as a declaration form and a gifts register they can introduce at work.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
