Cloud platforms have shifted infrastructure from capital purchases to usage-based services, and software teams are expected to deliver changes weekly or daily rather than quarterly. This creates demand for people who understand how code, infrastructure and money connect. Yet many organisations adopt cloud tools without the working habits that make them reliable, secure and affordable, and end up with fragile systems and unexpected bills.
This programme builds those habits step by step. Participants first learn the vocabulary and building blocks of public cloud, along with the Linux, networking and version control skills on which everything else rests. They then adopt DevOps practices: continuous integration and delivery, containerisation, orchestration, configuration and infrastructure defined as code, and observability. The later part introduces FinOps, the discipline of managing cloud spend collaboratively through tagging, allocation, budgeting and rightsizing, and platform engineering, where internal teams provide paved, self-service routes for developers to build and run services safely.
Every day combines explanation with guided practice in a cloud lab environment. By the final day, participants have assembled a small end-to-end project that they can describe, demonstrate and extend after the course.
By the end of the ten days, participants will be able to:
The course is a starting point for people moving into modern infrastructure and delivery roles, such as:
Participants finish the course with:
The course is lab-led, with explanation kept brief so most time is spent working in a real environment. It includes:
Participants who attend the full ten days and complete the labs and the capstone project are awarded a CPD-accredited Certificate of Completion by Vision Reach Global Consultancy.
