Organisations in Africa are digitising finance, supply chains, service delivery and customer channels, and the data these systems generate is growing quickly. Yet reporting teams spend most of their time finding, cleaning and reconciling data by hand, and ERP implementations often disappoint because the data inside them is poorly understood. Foundational data engineering skills close this gap.
The Fundamentals of Data Engineering, Databases & ERP Data Training Course assumes no prior programming experience. The first four days teach relational database concepts, data modelling and SQL, from basic queries to joins, subqueries, views and performance basics. Days five to seven introduce Python, data cleaning, extract-transform-load design, workflow scheduling and data quality checks. The next part of the programme covers data warehousing, dimensional modelling and the principles that make analytics dependable. The final days focus on enterprise resource planning data, including table structures, master data, document flows and how to extract data for reporting and migration.
Every topic is taught through laboratories using realistic business datasets. Participants complete a capstone project in which they model a database, build a pipeline from an ERP-style source into a warehouse, and present a simple report that proves the data is reliable.
