Climate change is no longer only an environmental matter. It affects credit decisions, supply chains, donor funding, insurance and public trust. Governments are translating national climate pledges into regulation, development partners expect robust monitoring of climate-related results, and companies face pressure to disclose emissions and risks consistently. Organisations that lack governance structures and sound carbon accounting find it hard to meet these demands or to claim credit for genuine progress.
The Governance and Compliance in Climate Action, Adaptation & Carbon Accounting Training Course provides an integrated route through the subject. It opens with the international and national climate policy landscape and the institutions that oversee compliance. Participants then learn carbon accounting step by step: organisational and operational boundaries, data collection, calculation methods, quality control and reporting. The course also covers adaptation: assessing climate hazards and vulnerability, prioritising measures and tracking outcomes. Governance topics tie the strands together, including roles and responsibilities, internal controls, disclosure frameworks, verification and carbon market integrity.
Participants work with spreadsheet templates and case material from energy, agriculture, transport and public-sector settings. They finish with a draft inventory outline, an adaptation priority list and a compliance and governance roadmap for their own organisation.
