Cloud adoption has moved from experiment to core infrastructure in banks, telecoms, government agencies and development organisations across Africa. With it come new responsibilities: protecting data in shared environments, proving that changes are authorised, controlling unpredictable consumption costs and meeting the expectations of regulators, customers and auditors. Traditional governance built around quarterly reviews cannot keep pace with infrastructure that changes hourly.
Governance and Compliance in Cloud, DevOps, FinOps and Platform Engineering is a ten-day programme that brings these disciplines together. The first five days establish the foundations: operating models, account structures, identity, policy as code, infrastructure as code and secure delivery pipelines, together with the control frameworks that auditors use. The second half develops advanced capability in FinOps, platform engineering, continuous compliance, evidence automation, risk management and resilience, and then integrates everything in a capstone design.
Participants work in hands-on labs on a public cloud sandbox, writing policies, scanning pipelines, building cost dashboards and producing audit evidence. They leave with an implementable governance blueprint and a roadmap tailored to their organisation, its risk appetite and the skills of its engineering teams.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
