As organisations consolidate data into lakes, warehouses and cloud services while still relying on core ERP systems, the number of copies, extracts and integrations has exploded. It brings governance requirements into the design and operation of data platforms: classifying data, defining policies that can be enforced in code, building controls into pipelines, and generating the evidence that audits demand.
