Organisations now hold more data than ever across ERP systems, spreadsheets, mobile collection tools and cloud platforms, but much of it is duplicated, inconsistent or poorly understood. Weak governance results in flawed reports, privacy exposure, failed system migrations and analytics projects that never reach production. Regulators, auditors and funders increasingly ask who is accountable for data and how its accuracy is proven.
The Management of Data Governance, Quality & Stewardship Training Course gives managers a practical route from principle to routine. It begins with the business case, governance models and the operating structure of councils, owners and stewards. It moves through metadata, glossaries and catalogues, lineage, master and reference data management and the measurement of data quality using completeness, accuracy, validity, timeliness and uniqueness. Later sessions deal with privacy and security alignment, issue management, policy writing, tooling options and the change management needed to make stewardship part of ordinary work.
The format is workshop-based. Participants profile a sample dataset, write quality rules, draft policies and design a stewardship calendar. By the close they hold a governance roadmap tailored to their organisation, with early wins identified and sponsors mapped.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
