Chemical incidents tend to follow familiar patterns: poor labelling, unclear responsibilities, bypassed safeguards and rushed changes. Whether the setting is a small teaching laboratory or a large processing plant, the same questions apply. What is the hazard, how could it harm people, which controls are actually in place and how will the team respond when something goes wrong? Employers in manufacturing, energy, agriculture, healthcare and education face both legal duties and a reputational cost when these questions are not answered.
This programme connects day-to-day chemical handling with the wider discipline of process safety. Early sessions cover hazard communication, toxicology basics, flammability, reactivity and corrosive risks. Mid-week topics move into laboratory design and practice, storage and transport inside the site, and emergency arrangements. Later sessions introduce process safety tools such as HAZID, HAZOP and layers of protection, along with operating discipline, management of change, mechanical integrity and learning from incidents.
Participants work through inspections, simulated spills and sample hazard studies. The aim is practical competence and a set of site-ready documents rather than academic theory.

Participants who attend every session and complete the hands-on exercises are issued with a CPD-accredited Certificate of Completion by Vision Reach Global Consultancy. It documents training undertaken and does not replace any statutory licence or site induction.
