Digital tools have multiplied the amount of programme data available, but they have not automatically produced better decisions. Donors and boards want evidence that arrives on time and can be trusted, while field staff are tired of duplicated forms and reports that nobody uses. Without clear processes, ownership and quality checks, even a modern platform can deliver inconsistent results.
Operational Excellence in Digital MEAL, Dashboards & Data Quality Training Course focuses on making the MEAL system work better day by day. Participants map their current data workflows, identify bottlenecks and waste, and redesign them using continuous improvement principles. The programme then looks at the structures that keep data reliable: indicator definitions, data governance roles, standard operating procedures, validation and cleaning rules, and routine data quality assessments with practical scoring. Dashboard design is covered in depth, from choosing the right measure and visual to refreshing automatically and making the audience act on what they see.
Sessions are applied. Participants audit sample datasets, build dashboards, draft standard operating procedures and agree service standards, finishing with a costed improvement plan that suits the size of their team.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
