Animal protein enterprises offer smallholders and commercial investors steady income, but they are unforgiving when the basics go wrong. A single disease outbreak, a pond with poor oxygen or a feed bill that outruns egg sales can erase a season's profit. Good planning before the first animal arrives is the cheapest protection available.
The Planning and Implementation of Aquaculture, Poultry and Livestock Production Training Course covers the whole sequence. Participants begin with market analysis and enterprise choice, then study the design and management of fish ponds and tanks, poultry houses and livestock systems. Later sessions deal with nutrition, breeding and replacement, animal health programmes, welfare, environmental management and the financial side of keeping animals for income.
The course is taught through farm layouts, ration exercises and budget workbooks, so participants practise each calculation rather than only hearing about it.
