Organisations collect large volumes of data in spreadsheets, accounting systems, survey platforms and operational databases, yet leaders still wait days for a consolidated report. Self-service business intelligence tools promise faster answers, but they also make it easy to produce misleading visuals from badly prepared data. A deliberate approach to planning and implementation determines whether a dashboard becomes a daily management tool or an unused file.
The Planning and Implementation of Dashboards and BI course is built around the life of a reporting project. Participants first define the audience, decisions and indicators, then assess data sources and design a model that is fast and consistent. They build the same dashboard in Power BI and Tableau, which shows how each product approaches transformation, calculation, interactivity and publishing, and helps them judge which suits their environment.
Each day combines short demonstrations with lab time on the participant's own computer. Sample datasets from finance, sales, human resources and programme monitoring are provided, and participants end the week with a finished, documented dashboard and a rollout plan covering security, refresh, training and ongoing support.
