Enterprise resource planning platforms hold an organisation's most valuable operational and financial records, yet extracting reliable insight from them is rarely simple. Table structures are complex, reporting needs change, legacy systems must be retired and cloud services add fresh options. Without a clear plan, data projects overrun budgets, deliver inconsistent figures and leave business users distrustful of dashboards.
Planning and Implementation of Data Engineering, Databases & ERP Data covers the complete lifecycle in two connected halves. The first five days establish foundations: scoping with stakeholders, data architecture, relational modelling, SQL, and a working knowledge of how ERP modules store finance, inventory, procurement and payroll data. The second five days build delivery skills, including automated pipelines, warehouse and lakehouse design, data quality controls, migration methods, security, monitoring and operational support.
The programme is practical throughout. Delegates build a sample database, write extraction and transformation code, design a dimensional model from ERP-style tables, rehearse a migration with reconciliation and then assemble these pieces in a capstone project with a documented plan, test results and handover notes. Participants should be comfortable with basic spreadsheet or SQL concepts but need not be professional engineers.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
