Programmes now generate more data than ever, from household surveys and beneficiary registrations to feedback hotlines and field monitoring visits. Yet value is lost when that information arrives late, contains errors or sits in files nobody can query. Donors and boards increasingly expect near real-time results and clear evidence of accountability to affected people, which paper-based or improvised systems cannot easily deliver.
The Planning and Implementation of Digital MEAL, Dashboards & Data Quality Training Course gives teams a structured way to modernise. Participants begin with the decisions their data must support, then plan the system around those decisions: indicators, tools, workflows, roles and budgets. Practical sessions cover mobile data collection, secure storage, cleaning and integration of data, followed by methods to verify and improve quality before analysis.
The second half of the programme turns data into insight. Participants build dashboards, practise visual design principles and learn how to present results so that non-technical audiences can act on them. Throughout, ethical handling of personal data and the need for user adoption receive equal weight with technology choices. Each participant completes the course with a draft implementation plan and a prototype that can be adapted to their own programme.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
