Organisations hold a large share of their value in buildings, plant, vehicles, networks and equipment, yet asset records are often incomplete, out of date or detached from the finance ledger. Auditors increasingly ask for evidence that assets exist, are controlled, are maintained and are disposed of lawfully. Boards, regulators and funders want to see a coherent policy rather than a collection of local practices.
The Policy and Regulatory Frameworks for Asset Management (Fixed Assets, ISO 55001) Training Course starts with the principles of asset management and the structure of the ISO 55001 management system standard: context, leadership, planning, support, operation, performance evaluation and improvement. Participants then connect these requirements to the legal and accounting rules their organisation faces, including capitalisation thresholds, depreciation methods, revaluation, impairment and disposal procedures. Sessions follow an asset from acquisition planning through operation, maintenance, renewal and retirement, with emphasis on documented roles, approvals and records.
Teaching blends short briefings with drafting workshops. Participants prepare policy wording, a register template, a lifecycle plan for a priority asset class and a gap assessment of their own organisation, so that each person returns with working documents and a realistic improvement roadmap.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

On completing all sessions and the workshop tasks, participants receive a Certificate of Completion issued by Vision Reach Global Consultancy and CPD-accredited. It records the programme and hours, and supports continuing development portfolios. It is not a certification to ISO 55001 itself.
