Operational disruption is now treated by supervisors, investors and the public as a governance failure rather than bad luck. Cyber incidents, power and connectivity outages, pandemics, extreme weather and supplier failure can stop critical services, and organisations are increasingly asked to demonstrate, not just assert, that they can withstand and recover from them.
The Policy and Regulatory Frameworks for Business Continuity & Operational Resilience Training Course gives senior practitioners the framework to meet that expectation. It begins with the policy landscape, comparing international standards and regulatory approaches, and clarifying the shift from recovery plans to outcome-based resilience. Participants then learn how to identify critical services, set impact tolerances, map dependencies and design testing that exposes real weaknesses. Sessions on third-party and ICT risk, crisis governance and reporting show how responsibilities are allocated from board to front line and how evidence is kept for supervisors and auditors.
The course is delivered through policy drafting workshops, scenario exercises and review of sample documents. Participants build a policy framework, a service mapping and a testing plan during the week and finish with a board-level assurance paper. Prior exposure to risk, compliance, operations or IT management is expected.
