Data platforms now sit at the centre of regulated activity. Customer, patient, employee and financial records move through ingestion pipelines, warehouses, lakes and enterprise resource planning systems, and each copy carries obligations about purpose, access, accuracy, retention and security. Organisations that treat these obligations as paperwork for the legal team discover the gaps only when a breach, an audit or a regulator request exposes them.
The Policy and Regulatory Frameworks for Data Engineering, Databases & ERP Data Training Course teaches technical staff and governance staff to work from the same playbook. Early days cover the regulatory and policy landscape in plain terms and show how to translate it into data classification, ownership, retention schedules and control requirements. Middle days examine database and pipeline design choices that make compliance easier, such as minimisation at ingestion, pseudonymisation, tokenisation, fine-grained permissions and immutable logging. The later days turn to ERP specifics including segregation of duties, master data governance, financial record integrity, change control and audit evidence.
Work proceeds through policy drafting clinics, hands-on database labs, pipeline reviews and audit simulations. Participants complete an integrated project that produces a policy set, control matrix and evidence plan for a sample data platform. National law varies, so participants practise mapping any requirement to technical controls.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
