Workplace technology has outpaced the policies meant to manage it. Employees store sensitive information in personal cloud accounts, share links without checking permissions and paste confidential text into public AI tools, usually without bad intent but with real exposure. Regulators, auditors and donors increasingly ask organisations to show that they have clear rules, trained staff and evidence of control over how digital tools are used.
The Policy and Regulatory Frameworks for Digital Fluency & Workplace Tools Training Course addresses this from a governance viewpoint rather than a technical one. Participants start with the building blocks of digital fluency and the risks that arise when capability is uneven across an organisation. They then examine the legal and regulatory themes that apply to digital work, such as personal data, electronic records, cyber security, copyright and accessibility, and learn how to find and read the instruments that apply in their own jurisdiction.
The remaining sessions move from principle to practice: policy architecture, drafting, approval, communication, enforcement and review. Delegates also design tool-specific governance for email, collaboration suites, cloud storage and generative AI, and plan awareness campaigns and metrics. The programme closes with a draft policy pack and rollout plan for each participant's organisation.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
