Digital tools now sit at the centre of how employees are hired, paid, trained and assessed. Cloud HR systems, chatbots and workflow automation promise faster service and cleaner data, but they also introduce risks that many HR teams are not equipped to manage: breaches of personal data, biased screening, opaque decisions and staff concerns about surveillance. Regulators in a growing number of African jurisdictions have introduced data protection requirements that apply directly to employee records.
The Policy and Regulatory Frameworks for Digital HR & Process Automation Training Course gives HR and governance professionals a structured way to adopt technology responsibly. Participants start by reviewing the HR process landscape and identifying where automation adds value and where human judgement must remain. They then draft the policy set needed to support it, including data governance, system access, retention, acceptable use, remote work and automated decision-making. They consider how employment law, data protection principles and sector rules shape what can be automated, and how to write vendor and cloud contracts that protect the organisation.
Workshops use sample policies, process maps and risk registers, and the programme ends with a digital HR policy roadmap tailored to each participant's workplace.
