Financial crime has become a data problem. Volumes of payments, mobile transfers and trade transactions are far beyond what manual review can cover, while regulators and the Financial Action Task Force framework expect institutions to show that their controls are risk-based, tested and effective. Teams that rely on default vendor rules often drown in false alerts and still miss the patterns that matter.
The Practical AML / CFT & Financial Crime Analytics Training Course gives compliance and investigation staff a working analytical toolkit. It starts with the money laundering and terrorist financing cycle and the risk assessment that should drive every control. It then moves into customer and product risk scoring, transaction profiling, scenario design and threshold tuning, followed by sanctions and watchlist screening, network analysis and case management. The final sessions concentrate on turning findings into clear suspicious transaction reports and management information.
Participants work through realistic datasets rather than slides. They clean and explore transaction files, test rules against known cases, measure alert quality and present their conclusions as they would to a money laundering reporting officer or board committee. Each person finishes with a documented scenario, a tuned set of thresholds and an improvement plan for their own institution.
