Organisations in banking, telecoms, government and technology are shifting workloads to public cloud, but the benefits only arrive when delivery is automated and costs are governed. Teams that provision resources by hand and deploy on Fridays by copying files cannot meet expectations for reliability, security or speed, and cloud invoices that nobody owns soon become a board-level concern.

The Professional Cloud, DevOps, FinOps & Platform Engineering Training Course is a ten-day, laboratory-based programme covering the whole discipline. The first five days lay the engineering foundations: cloud services and architecture, version control, infrastructure as code, continuous integration and delivery, and containerisation. The second five days apply those foundations at scale, with container orchestration, GitOps, observability, reliability engineering, security integrated into pipelines, financial operations and, finally, the design of internal platforms that let product teams self-serve safely.

Participants work in a real cloud account throughout. They write Terraform modules, build pipelines, deploy to Kubernetes, instrument services, break and repair systems, tag and analyse spend, and assemble a working platform prototype in a closing project. The approach suits practitioners who want transferable method instead of dependence on any single vendor console, and every participant leaves with working code repositories and runbooks.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

Roughly two thirds of the ten days are spent in guided laboratories in a live cloud account. The approach includes:

• Short concept briefings followed directly by command-line and code practice
• A continuing sample application that is built, deployed, secured and monitored across the programme
• Fault-injection exercises where participants diagnose and repair broken systems
• Code review and architecture critiques in small teams
• A capstone project presented to peers on the final day
