Personal data now sits at the centre of banking, health care, telecommunications, education and humanitarian work, and most of it is held digitally by many hands. Laws across Africa and beyond give people rights over their information and require organisations to show accountability through documented controls. Many institutions have appointed a Data Protection Officer or privacy lead without giving that person a clear method, so reviews are patchy and breaches are handled in a rush.
The Professional Data Protection & Privacy (DPO) Training Course sets out the DPO role in practical terms. Participants examine the position, independence and tasks of the officer, then build a compliance programme step by step: governance and policy, data inventory and mapping, lawful basis and consent management, transparency notices, retention, security measures, processor oversight and international transfers. They practise handling access and deletion requests, carrying out data protection impact assessments, investigating incidents and communicating with regulators and affected individuals.
The course is workshop based, with templates, a mock audit and a simulated breach. Every participant finishes with a draft data protection roadmap and a set of tools for training staff and reporting to senior management.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

Full attendance and completion of the document labs, mock audit and breach simulation earn each delegate a CPD-accredited Certificate of Completion issued by Vision Reach Global Consultancy.
The certificate records the training received and the practical work completed. It does not replace any registration, licensing or certification requirement set by a national data protection authority.
