Digital skills at work are no longer limited to typing and sending email. Staff are expected to collaborate in shared documents, join online meetings, find information across cloud folders, handle simple data and judge which online content or message can be trusted. Many employees picked up these habits informally, which leaves gaps: duplicated files, endless email chains, insecure sharing and unused features that would save time.
This course closes those gaps in a structured way. It begins with the foundations of digital working, including device and file management, cloud storage and naming conventions. It then covers communication tools, from professional email etiquette and calendar management to chat, video conferencing and shared channels. Later sessions introduce spreadsheets, documents and presentations for everyday tasks, task and project boards, and workflow shortcuts. A dedicated block deals with cyber hygiene, privacy and online reputation, and the final sessions explore how generative AI assistants can support drafting and research, with careful attention to accuracy and confidentiality.
Training is hands-on. Participants complete short office scenarios and finish with a personal productivity plan describing the tools and routines they will adopt.
