Banks generate income from thousands of tariff lines, pricing rules and system interfaces, and each one is a point where earned revenue can fail to be billed, posted or collected. Rising transaction volumes on digital channels, frequent product launches and pressure on net interest margins mean that undetected leakage now has a direct effect on profitability, while regulators and auditors expect a bank to show that its charges are applied accurately and fairly to customers.
The Revenue Assurance in Banking Training Course gives participants a structured method for finding, quantifying and stopping that leakage. It starts with the revenue map of a bank and the main causes of loss, then moves through data extraction and reconciliation, testing of interest and fee calculations, review of waivers and staff overrides, and the controls needed around new products and system changes. The final sessions focus on setting up a revenue assurance function, defining key risk indicators and reporting recoveries to executive management and the board audit committee.
Learning is hands-on. Participants work through anonymised extracts of loan, deposit, card and mobile banking data, recalculating charges, matching records across systems and documenting exceptions, so that they return to work with a tested approach they can apply to their own institution.
