Chemicals sit at the centre of manufacturing, water treatment, agriculture, healthcare, mining and education. They also sit behind many of the most serious workplace accidents, from toxic exposures and burns to fires, explosions and contaminated land and water. Most of these events trace back to ordinary failings: unclear labelling, poor segregation, missing procedures, unchecked modifications or an emergency plan that nobody has practised.
The Risk Management for Chemical Handling, Laboratory & Process Safety Training Course helps participants build a systematic defence. It starts with hazard communication and the properties that make substances dangerous, including toxicity, flammability, reactivity, corrosivity and environmental persistence. Participants learn to read and use safety data sheets, estimate exposure, select controls through the hierarchy of control, and choose suitable personal protective equipment and ventilation.
The second half applies process safety thinking. Participants examine how incidents develop, use structured review methods to challenge designs and procedures, and test whether barriers are independent and effective. Laboratory risks receive their own treatment, along with storage, transport on site, waste handling, spill response and investigation of near misses. Learning is case based: participants analyse real incident summaries, inspect sample plant and laboratory layouts, and finish by drafting a risk register and improvement plan for their own site.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

Participants who complete the five days and the risk assessment exercises receive a CPD-accredited Certificate of Completion issued by Vision Reach Global Consultancy. It records attendance and practical contribution; it does not replace statutory competence or site-specific authorisation to work with hazardous substances.
