Organisations in finance, telecoms, government and the start-up sector now run critical services on public cloud, containers and automated pipelines. Each new capability brings new ways to fail: a misconfigured role grants access to everything, a compromised dependency reaches production through the pipeline, a forgotten cluster burns budget, or a single region outage takes a service offline. Traditional annual risk reviews cannot keep pace with infrastructure that changes many times a day.

The Risk Management for Cloud, DevOps, FinOps & Platform Engineering Training Course teaches a continuous, engineering-led approach to risk. Participants begin with risk assessment methods adapted to cloud, including threat modelling, risk registers and control mapping against recognised frameworks. They then build and test controls in hands-on labs: identity design, network segmentation, encryption and key management, policy as code, pipeline security, container hardening and secrets handling.

The second half of the programme addresses resilience, cost and organisational risk. Participants define service level objectives, build alerting and incident response routines, test recovery, and apply FinOps practices such as allocation, anomaly detection and commitment planning. They also learn how platform teams reduce risk by offering paved roads that make the safe way the easy way. The course closes with an integrated project in which each participant assesses a reference environment, prioritises its risks and presents a remediation roadmap with measurable targets.

By the end of the ten days, participants will be able to:
