Brands now live in public, in real time, and on platforms they do not control. Customers can amplify a complaint to thousands in minutes, regulators scrutinise advertising claims and data practices, and criminals exploit social accounts and ad budgets. For businesses across Africa that are moving quickly into mobile and social channels, the exposure has grown faster than the safeguards.
The Risk Management for Digital Marketing & Brand Training Course applies familiar risk discipline to the marketing function. Participants identify the risks around each stage of a campaign, from planning and creative approval to media buying, influencer partnerships, community management and reporting. They learn how to assess and prioritise these risks, assign owners and put practical controls in place such as approval workflows, content calendars, vendor agreements, access management and escalation rules.
A significant portion of the programme concentrates on crisis preparedness. Participants practise monitoring conversations, judging when an issue is serious, drafting responses and coordinating with legal, customer care and senior management. Case studies of well-known brand mishaps are examined for what went wrong and what a prepared team would have done. Each person completes the programme with a risk register, a crisis playbook outline and a measurement framework for their own brand.
