Monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning has moved quickly onto phones, cloud platforms and live dashboards. Decisions about funding, targeting and course correction now rest on data that passes through many hands and tools, and a weakness at any point can mislead managers or harm the people the data describes. Donors increasingly ask for evidence of data governance and quality control alongside the results themselves.
The Risk Management for Digital MEAL, Dashboards & Data Quality Training Course applies risk thinking to that whole chain. Participants first set out the data lifecycle for a programme and identify what could fail at each stage, from poorly designed forms and enumerator error to insecure storage and misleading visuals. They then choose proportionate controls: validation rules, spot checks, back-checks, role-based access, encryption practices, version control and dashboard testing, and decide who owns each one.
Learning is through realistic scenarios and hands-on exercises with sample datasets and dashboards. Participants finish with a data risk register, a quality assurance plan and a responsible data checklist suited to their own programmes, together with a clear way of reporting limitations honestly to stakeholders.
By the end of the programme, participants will be able to:
