Organisations run on transactional systems, but decisions depend on data that is integrated, timely and consistent. Finance wants reconciled ledgers, supply chain wants inventory visibility and leadership wants dashboards without waiting for a month-end extract. Delivering this requires more than tools; it requires an architecture, engineering practices and clear data ownership between ERP, database and analytics teams.
The Strategic Data Engineering, Databases & ERP Data Training Course develops that capability across ten days. The first half builds foundations: relational and dimensional modelling, advanced SQL, indexing and query tuning, data integration patterns, change data capture and ETL versus ELT design, together with an introduction to ERP data structures such as master data, transaction tables and organisational hierarchies. The second half moves to platform design and operations: warehouse and lakehouse architecture, orchestration, transformation frameworks, quality testing, lineage, security, cost control, monitoring and incident handling.
Training is laboratory-driven. Delegates write code, build and schedule pipelines, model an ERP extract and debug realistic failures. A capstone project consolidates the work into a documented reference architecture, supported by a strategy brief for stakeholders explaining priorities, risks and the resources required.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
The programme is aimed at technical and managerial professionals who build or oversee data platforms, including:
