Mobile platforms, artificial intelligence, open finance and digital public infrastructure all depend on personal data, and each raises questions that existing privacy policies were never written to answer. Boards are therefore asking privacy leaders something new: not only whether the organisation is compliant today, but how it can pursue fresh opportunities without eroding trust or inviting enforcement.
The Strategy and Innovation in Data Protection & Privacy (DPO) Training Course equips senior practitioners to answer it. The week starts with strategic analysis: reading the regulatory, technological and market environment, defining a privacy vision and choosing where to invest. It then moves into roadmap design, costed business cases and the metrics that demonstrate value. The innovation half of the programme covers privacy by design in agile product teams, privacy threat modelling, the strategic choice among privacy-enhancing technologies, oversight of AI and automated decisions, data ethics, and the structures that make data sharing and partnerships defensible.
Participants work on a fictional organisation launching a data-driven product, moving from strategy workshop to innovation review board to executive pitch. They leave with a three-year privacy strategy outline, an innovation review procedure and a business case they can adapt for their own organisation.
