Access to machine learning is no longer the scarce resource. Cloud platforms, open-source libraries and foundation models put powerful tools in every organisation's hands, which means advantage now comes from choosing the right problems, owning distinctive data, learning faster than competitors and turning successful experiments into products people use. That calls for a deliberate strategy and an innovation process, not a scattering of disconnected pilots.
The Strategy and Innovation in Data Science & Machine Learning in Practice Training Course combines strategic thinking with hands-on experimentation. The opening five days set the strategic frame and the core innovation toolkit: competitive positioning, data as an asset, opportunity discovery, rapid prototyping and lean experimentation. The closing five go further into generative AI innovation, platform and ecosystem strategy, scaling pilots into products, responsible innovation and foresight, ending in an integrated strategy and innovation roadmap that each team defends before a panel.
Learning is active. Participants run design sprints, build working prototypes with Python, Streamlit and large language model APIs, score ideas in portfolio workshops and test assumptions with real users during the programme. Case studies draw on mobile money, agritech, telecoms and public services.
By the close of the programme, participants will be able to:
The programme is designed for professionals who shape where data science goes next, including:

The programme moves between strategy studios and build sessions:
To receive a CPD-accredited Certificate of Completion issued by Vision Reach Global Consultancy, participants attend the full programme, take part in the prototyping labs and present their team's roadmap on the final day.
The certificate lists the course, its dates and how it was delivered. Prototypes, portfolio maps and the roadmap built during the ten days can support internal proposals and serve as evidence of applied learning.
