This 5-day practical course covers tendering processes and negotiation skills essential for procurement success. Participants learn RFP preparation, objective supplier evaluation, negotiation planning and tactics, and win-win relationship building approaches that achieve strategic objectives.
The programme combines theory with role-playing exercises, case studies, and real-world negotiation scenarios that develop confidence and competence in high-stakes supplier negotiations that significantly impact organizational costs.
Throughout the programme, participants work through realistic scenarios drawn from public procurement bodies, commercial supply chains, logistics operations, and donor-funded tendering environments, examining how tendering, procurement and negotiation skills is applied in practice and where it most often breaks down. Delegates will develop practical skill in designing appropriate frameworks, selecting and applying the right tools for strategic negotiation planning, interpreting findings, and communicating conclusions clearly to colleagues, management and external stakeholders. Sessions move deliberately from principles to application, so that each technique introduced is practised against a realistic problem before the programme moves on — strengthening both individual effectiveness and the wider capability of the organizations delegates return to.
