Organisations rarely fail on their own. They fail because a supplier misses a deadline, a contractor is found to be sanctioned, a logistics partner suffers a data breach or a single-source vendor goes insolvent. As outsourcing deepens and supply chains stretch across borders, the discipline of knowing who you buy from, and how exposed you are to them, has moved from a back-office task to a board-level concern.
This programme follows a vendor through its full life with your organisation. Participants start with risk taxonomy and supplier segmentation, then move through pre-award due diligence, beneficial ownership and integrity checks, contract drafting for risk transfer, ongoing performance and compliance monitoring, incident response and exit. Attention is given to the hidden layers of the chain, including subcontractors, resellers and cloud service providers, where weak controls often sit unnoticed.
Teaching is built on realistic vendor files, risk assessment templates and short scenarios drawn from public sector procurement, humanitarian supply and corporate purchasing. Participants finish with a tiered supplier list, a draft third-party risk policy outline and a monitoring calendar they can take back to their own procurement function and adapt immediately.
