Governance and Compliance in Anti-Bribery, Ethics & Conflict of Interest Training Course in Dubai, UAE
Classroom training in Dubai · next cohort Oct 26, 2026 · from USD 3,800
A single undeclared interest, an unrecorded gift or a facilitation payment can trigger investigations, debarment from contracts and lasting damage to an institution's reputation. Over five days you learn to build the controls that make such failures rare and easy to detect. Sessions cover bribery and corruption risk assessment, ISO 37001 anti-bribery management systems, codes of conduct, gifts and hospitality registers, conflict of interest declarations, third-party due diligence, whistleblowing channels and the basics of internal investigations.
The programme is aimed at compliance officers, ethics and integrity officers, internal auditors, legal counsel, procurement and finance managers, board and audit committee members, and governance staff in government agencies, state corporations, NGOs and private companies. Delegates work through realistic scenarios and draft practical tools rather than only discussing principles. Afterwards you can map bribery risks in your own processes, write or revise a conflicts policy, set up a declarations register, brief staff and directors on expected behaviour and design a reporting and escalation route that protects those who speak up. Attend in a classroom in cities such as Nairobi, Kampala or Dubai, join online, or book an in-house session for your organisation. Successful participants receive a CPD-accredited certificate.

About this course
Donors, regulators, lenders and business partners now ask organisations to prove that integrity is managed, not merely promised. Bribery allegations, nepotism in recruitment, inflated procurement awards and undisclosed relationships with suppliers continue to cost public bodies and companies money, contracts and public trust. A written code of conduct that nobody applies offers little protection when an auditor or investigator arrives.
This programme takes participants from the foundations of ethical governance to a working compliance framework. It starts with the forms bribery and corruption take and the legal and reputational exposure they create, then moves to risk assessment, the structure of an ISO 37001 style anti-bribery management system, and the roles of the board, management and compliance function. Later sessions deal with conflict of interest policy, declarations and recusal, gifts, hospitality and sponsorship rules, due diligence on agents, suppliers and partners, and training and communication that change behaviour. The final sessions cover speak-up channels, protection against retaliation, triage of reports, basic investigation steps and monitoring of the programme through testing and indicators.
Teaching combines short briefings with dilemmas drawn from procurement, recruitment, grants and licensing, and with drafting workshops in which participants produce policies, registers and procedures for their own institutions.
Training Objectives
By the end of the programme, participants will be able to:
- Identify the main forms of bribery, corruption and unethical conduct and the exposure they create for an organisation.
- Conduct a bribery risk assessment across procurement, recruitment, licensing and grant processes.
- Outline the components of an ISO 37001 style anti-bribery management system.
- Draft conflict of interest, gifts and hospitality policies with clear thresholds and recusal rules.
- Carry out risk-based due diligence on agents, suppliers and implementing partners.
- Establish confidential reporting channels and protect whistleblowers from retaliation.
- Plan the early stages of an internal investigation and preserve evidence properly.
