Live Online Fire Safety and Prevention Training
Live online, instructor-led · next cohort Nov 23, 2026 · from USD 800
Many workplace fires start with something ordinary and preventable, such as overloaded sockets, poor storage of combustibles or careless hot work. You begin with fire behaviour, the chemistry of combustion, classes of fire and how heat and smoke move through a building, then apply this knowledge to identify fire risks on site. Prevention sessions cover good housekeeping, control of ignition sources, safe storage of flammable liquids and gases, electrical precautions and managing contractors' hot work. Detection and suppression days explain smoke and heat detectors, alarm panels, sprinkler and gas suppression systems, extinguisher types and the inspection and maintenance they need.
The fourth day prepares fire wardens for their role, covering sweep duties, evacuation routes, assembly points and assistance for visitors and people with limited mobility. The final day addresses compliance with fire regulations, inspection checklists, record keeping and continual improvement through audits and drills. Walk-through exercises let you inspect a sample floor plan and list corrective actions. Facility managers, office administrators, HSE officers, security staff and designated wardens will find it practical. Afterwards you can carry out a fire inspection, keep equipment compliant and lead colleagues safely out of a building.

About this course
This course provides practitioners with core competencies and practical tools in fire safety and prevention training, combining theoretical frameworks with field-tested approaches drawn from real-world projects.
Participants engage with case studies, complete hands-on exercises, and develop implementation plans they can apply directly to their own work.
Throughout the programme, participants work through realistic scenarios drawn from industrial sites, construction operations, healthcare facilities, and regulated workplace environments, examining how fire safety and prevention is applied in practice and where it most often breaks down. Delegates will develop practical skill in designing appropriate frameworks, selecting and applying the right tools for fire prevention measures, interpreting findings, and communicating conclusions clearly to colleagues, management and external stakeholders. Sessions move deliberately from principles to application, so that each technique introduced is practised against a realistic problem before the programme moves on — strengthening both individual effectiveness and the wider capability of the organizations delegates return to.
Training Objectives
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Develop robust fire safety and prevention frameworks that support successful implementation and measurable outcomes.
- Analyze performance using recognized evaluation methods drawn from fire prevention measures.
- Design practical systems that strengthen accountability, transparency and evidence generation.
- Evaluate outcomes and assess longer-term impact across a range of operating contexts.
- Apply relevant tools, frameworks and analytical methodologies confidently and appropriately.
- Integrate fire detection and suppression into existing organizational processes and reporting structures.
- Strengthen decision-making and operational effectiveness through evidence-based professional practice.
